Prognozis

Akut pankreatitin ölüm oranı yaklaşık olarak %10'dur. Solunum yetersizliği ve hipo-kalsemia prognozisin kötü olduğunu gösterir. Hemorajik pankreatitte ölüm oranı %30 u geçer. Pankreatit nöbetinden 3 hafta ya da daha uzun bir zaman sonra ateşin veya hipera-milazemianm devamı çoğunlukla pankreas absesi ya da yalancı kist psödokist olduğunu gösterir.
